There are several kinds of printing methods for disposable paper cup customization. Let's take a look at it.
Silk screen
Silk screen has great flexibility and applicability due to its softness and elasticity. It is not only suitable for printing on soft materials such as paper and cloth, but also suitable for printing on hard articles such as glass, ceramics, etc., and is not limited by the surface shape and size of the substrate. However, the advantages of screen printing paper cups are not well reflected, and screen printing has great limitations on the reproduction of images and texts, and it has certain difficulties in processing gradations and reproducing image precision.
2. Flexo
Flexo printing is called "green printing" because it uses water-based inks. Nowadays, many companies' product packaging is developing in the direction of flexo printing. Since the structure of the flexo printing machine is relatively simple, the flexo printing machine is "small" compared to the bulky body of the offset printing machine and the expensive material cost. In terms of cost, the equipment investment of flexo printing machine is lower than that of the same scale of offset printing machine, which can save 30%~40%. The small investment in production attracts the participation of small printing companies. Flexo printing is not as narrow as the screen printing, and the color is more broad, but it is inferior to offset printing. Flexo printing is the main process currently used in paper cup printing. The printing quality of paper cups depends to a large extent on prepress production. However, because its environmental protection is green printing, it is superior to offset printing, but the price is also high.
3. Offset printing
Offset printing is the principle of using oil and water to repudiate. The film propaganda paper cup is divided into oil and water, and the blank part is hydrophilic and oil resistant. The image is transferred to the substrate through the blanket cylinder. The advantage of offset paper cups is that the patterns are full, bright and clear. Both the gradient and the fine lines can be better displayed, making the appearance of the paper cup more beautiful and more attractive to the customer. However, offset printing is not suitable for printing edible paper cups because offset inks are not very environmentally friendly.
